Join Us for Read Across America and Make an Impact Through Literacy

Read Across America is a national celebration that highlights the importance of early literacy and the role reading plays in building confidence, opportunity, and lifelong success. In Broward County, United Way Broward and Women United are bringing this celebration to life by surrounding children with books, mentors, and meaningful reading experiences.

This year’s event is made possible with the support of generous community partners, including Rick Case Automotive.

About the Event

On Thursday, March 5, volunteers will gather at Sunland Park Academy for a lively literacy celebration designed to spark joy and a love of reading among students.

Volunteers will read with students and take part in engaging activities that promote early learning. Each child will receive a copy of All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold, helping build at-home libraries and reinforce inclusive, positive learning environments.
